Tottenham eye King move

Tottenham Hotspur are considering a summer move for Bournemouth striker Joshua King, .

The Norway international has been in fine form this calendar year, with only Spurs’ hit man Harry Kane and Golden Boot front-runner Romelu Lukaku of Everton bettering his tally of twelve in the Premier League so far.

The former Manchester United man is contracted to the Cherries until 2020, so it could take a fee of at least £15m to secure his services.

Since arriving at the south coast club in the summer of 2015, King has racked up sixty-nine appearances in all competitions, scoring twenty-two goals – the last of which coming as the winning goal on Saturday afternoon as Eddie Howe’s men condemned Sunderland to relegation.

That result also all but confirmed…

Del Bosque: Luis Enrique´s Barcelona legacy is permanent

Whether or not Barcelona win more trophies this season, the legacy of outgoing head coach Luis Enrique is already secure at Camp Nou, according to Vicente del Bosque.

Luis Enrique will leave Barcelona at the end of the season but there is still plenty to play for as the Catalan giants attempt to retain their LaLiga title, win the Champions League and Copa del Rey.

Barca s success, however, will not determine the status of Luis Enrique, who has won eight trophies as a coach of the club including two LaLiga crowns and the Champions League in 2014-15.

Beyond the three titles which he can still win this season, Luis Enrique has already won so many titles that he will leave a permanent legacy,  former Real Madrid and Spain boss Del Bosque told RAC1.

He s gi…

Arsenal have ´everything´ but Emery needs time, says Cazorla

Arsenal need to give Unai Emery time and believe in themselves, according to former Emirates Stadium favourite Santi Cazorla.

Gunners boss Emery is under pressure in his second season in the Premier League, with the team who missed out on Champions League qualification last term sixth in the table after 12 games, eight points off the top four.

Arsenal are winless in five in all competitions, while Granit Xhaka has been stripped of the club s captaincy and divisive playmaker Mesut Ozil has struggled for regular minutes.

Yet Spaniard Cazorla, who won two FA Cups in a six-year Arsenal career, is urging patience with countryman Emery and says Arsenal have everything to be successful.

Unai Emery is a good coach and it s a very good team, he told the Independe…

Howe: Transfer speculation will not disrupt Ake

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has no concerns over Nathan Ake, despite transfer speculation surrounding the defender.

Ake has impressed for the Cherries since arriving on a permanent deal in June 2017 and has been a key performer in Bournemouth s impressive start to the campaign.

The centre-back s form has seen him linked with moves to both Tottenham and Manchester United, but Howe has no fears over losing the 23-year-old, who he insists will be unaffected by the rumours.

I think that s a compliment to Nathan and how he s played since he signed for us permanently, Howe told Sky Sports.

He s been a model of consistency. He picked up all the player awards that he did at the end of last season and he s carried that form into this [season].

Zamora to miss five months – Cruel blow to a man in the form of his life

Rotten luck for a man in form

It has been a bad season for injuries already with Manchester United’s Antonio Valencia suffering a horrible injury that will see him miss most of the season.

Suffered

The other nasty long term injury was suffered last week by Fulham striker Bobby Zamora. He will be out for five months after suffering ankle ligament damage as well as a broken leg, in the 2-1 victory over Wolves.

You have to feel really sorry for the twenty-nine year old striker who over the past season has finally fulfilled the potential and promise he showed as a youngster at Brighton nearly ten years ago.

Impressive

After scoring a very impressive eighty-three goals in one hundred and thirty six games for the Seagulls, Zamora was given his …

Australia s Newcastle Jets Tuesday revealed an ambitious bid to lure football megastar David Beckham for an exhibition game with his club LA Galaxy.

The Jets, rescued from dire financial woes only this month by a colourful mining magnate, said they were in talks with Galaxy and Football Federation Australia (FFA) about the exciting opportunity .

Sturridge: I have fallen in love with football again

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has revealed that his move to the club has restored his love for football.

The 24-year-old forward has been in outstanding form for Liverpool this season, with only team-mate Luis Suarez having scored more Premier League goals than him.

The former Manchester City and Chelsea man has netted 18 strikes in 21 league fixtures in the current campaign, form that has helped his side mount a sustained bid for the title.

But just over one year ago, things were vastly different for a frustrated Sturridge, who was not playing regularly at Chelsea.

At Chelsea when Andre Villas-Boas was there and I played more on the right wing mainly and I was enjoying it. It wasn t about the position, it was about playing, he said.

But then AVB (Andr…

Pareja to commit his future to Sevilla

Spartak Moscow defender Nicolas Pareja is likely to become Sevilla s first signing of the 2014/2015 season, .

The Argentine defender joined los Rojiblancos on a season-long loan in the summer, but it looks as though he will remain at the club beyond the current season.

Estadio Deportivo has suggested that Sevilla plan to turn his loan deal into permanent move for €2.5 million in the coming weeks.

This is the amount of the player s buy-out clause and with club official delighted with Pareja s contribution this season, it is only a matter of time before he joins the club on permanent basis.

After spending two years at Espanyol, the Argentine signed for Spartak Moscow in 2010, but he left the club for Sevilla having made just 47 league appearances.

Amiens 0 Paris Saint-Germain 3: Neymar-less leaders back to winning ways

Paris Saint-Germain returned to winning ways in the absence of Neymar as Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe inspired a 3-0 Ligue 1 win at 10-man Amiens on Saturday.

The champions and runaway leads were sensationally knocked out of the Coupe de la Ligue by Guingamp in midweek and were not at their best again in northern France.

With Neymar, again the subject of transfer speculation with reports he is begging for a return to Barcelona, left out of the squad after Thomas Tuchel described him as very tired , PSG found it difficult to break down the league s fourth-bottom side until the 57th minute.

Cavani broke the deadlock from the penalty spot after Alexis Blin was penalised for handball and, following a red card for Amiens centre-back Khaled Adenon, the Uruguay in…
