Oddscheker: Who are the Premier League’s title favourites ahead of the 2022/23 campaign?

With the Premier League fixtures ahead of the 2022/23 campaign announced on Thursday, all eyes from across Europe will soon once again fall on England s top-flight.

Only just coming off the back of another title pulsating title race as Manchester City managed to regain their domestic crown, next season s campaign once again looks set to be another thriller.

With all of Europe s top-tiers set to take a break later in the year as the World Cup finals get underway out in Qatar in November, there will certainly be additional planning for teams up and down the country.

While the likes of might be making their Premier League return after 23 years in exile, most of the headlines will be stollen by England s elite.

So, ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, we have taken a look who the bookmakers have billed as their early favourites.

Manchester City 4/6

Managing to mount a stunning turnaround against Aston Villa on the final weekend as they eventually clawed their way to a famous 3-2 victory, it won t be a surprise to many that Manchester City are once again billed as a landslide pick.

Eventually holding off Liverpool thanks to a one-point buffer and claiming their fourth Premier League title from their last five attempts, Pep Guardiola s side now have their sights set on making more history.

Although the Sky Blues might have once again failed in their bid to claim a first Champions League trophy last season, the former Bayern Munich boss has already made quite the statement this summer.

Shocking many across Europe as it finally made official that has completed his £51.5million move from Borussia Dortmund, teams from across the Premier League will be wondering who can stop Manchester City next season?

Liverpool 3/1

Although Liverpool might have enjoyed their own domestic purple patch at the back end of the 2021/22 campaign, it was not enough to help Jurgen Klopp s men regain their Premier League crown.

Falling just a single point behind their heavyweight rivals despite claiming their own turnaround victory against Wolves on the final weekend the Reds will be desperate to right that wrong this time around.

Looking to claim just their second top-flight crown since 1990 when they get things underway against newly-promoted Fulham on August 6th, Liverpool could have a new-look squad come that day.

With it looking like attacking talisman will soon be making the move to Bayern Munich, last season s Champions League finalists did announce the arrival of Benfica s Darwin Núñez earlier in the week in a deal that could reach €100million.

Tottenham 18/1

Managing to book a Champions League return last season and with the mood around north London the highest it has been in recent memory, some could be surprised to see Tottenham sat as high as third in the bookmakers standings.

However, enjoying what has been a remarkable rise since bringing in one-time Chelsea boss Antonio Conte back in November, the Lilywhites are now desperate to finally lift a piece of silverware.

Failing to add to their trophy cabinet since claiming the League Cup in 2008, there is no doubt that the belief in Tottenham s camp will be that they can finally end that drought.

Looking to try and barge their way into the title race this time around, Spurs have also been busy in the transfer window so far this summer. Along with Southampton keeper Fraser Forster, Conte s men also announced on Friday the £25million arrival of Brighton s midfield star, .

Chelsea 20/1

Ahead of last season s Premier League campaign, many from across the Premier League were expecting Chelsea to run Manchester City and Liverpool to a closer race.

However, despite opening the 2021/22 season coming off the back of their Champions League success, Thomas Tuchel s men had to largely limp their way over the finish line.

Dealing with some rather public issues behind the scenes at Stamford Bridge prior to their new takeover being announced back in May, the former Borussia Dortmund boss saw his side eventually finish 19 points adrift of champions Manchester City.

Nevertheless, while the Blues might have managed to find some stability behind the scenes, they still have a real issue on their hands with wantaway striker, Romelu Lukaku. Enduring a nightmare time since making his Premier League return last year, the Belgium ace appears set on a sensational move back to Inter Milan this summer.
